I make traditional chasubles either in Gothic or Latin style. These feature orphreys which I have designed and embroidered.
A Gothic style chasuble can be lined or unlined and the embroidery can be anything from a simple motif on the back and or the front through to full Y-cross orphrey bands on both front and back. Please note that I do not make chasubles with collars. Each chasuble is individually designed and made so can be made to your preferred size. If you want a co-ordinating stole it should be ordered at the same time. To make an enquiry about commissioning a Gothic style chasuble please click on the button on the left.
A Latin style chasuble will always be lined and interlined so that it keeps its shape. If wished, I can attach tapes to the inside of the front to reduce any tendancy to slip out of position. The embroidery will normally take the form of a single wide panel down the front and a Latin style cross taking up the full space of the back. The cost of a chasuble is dependent on may factors. I am unlikely to be able to make you a Gothic chasuble for less than £500 and it may be as much as £1,000. For a Latin chasuble the cost will normally be in the region of £1,000. Matching stoles will be extra but there will be some saving by ordering the set. I can also make a matching burse and veil. Again, it is most economical if these are ordered together.
