Altar Frontals

These have to be made for particular churches - never something that can be "off-the-peg".  I will always be happy to discuss your requirements.   Many of these have been commissioned in memory of someone and in these cases, I embroider a dedication onto the lining of the frontal.  If you want to see more detailed images at higher resolution, please email me.


Advent Blue - the backdrop can be hung at the front of the altar.

 

Red - Martyr saints are represented in the symbols with the knotwork.

 

Green - inspired by images and carvings within the church

All Seasons blue - depicting St Moluag and St Ronan, Isle of Lewis

 

Green - designed to pick out details within the medieval wood carvings

Red - Pentecost frontal - brocade with hand painted silk

 

Purple - St Martin sharing his cloak - brocade with hand painted silk

 

Red - St Lawrence - brocade with silk appliqué - cross is from a medieval grave slab in the church yard.

White - Harris Tweed with a style of cross on grave slabs on Iona

 

Green - Silk damask, featuring symbols of significance to the donor

 

All seasons - with an interchangeable green overlay panel
