Everything is individually made to order.  For stoles, I tend to keep white fabrics (wools and silks) in stock, and also usually have green in stock.  However, for all other things, fabric will be bought specifically for the project.   I am unlikely to be able to do anything with less than 4 weeks notice - and sometimes that might be nearer 3 months depending on how busy I am and what it is you want.

Once we have discussed your requirements, I ask for a deposit of at least one third of the agreed price.  If you contact me by email, I can keep you up to date with developments - including sending photographs of work in progress.  Once the item is ready, I ask for the balance of payment and post out on receipt. 

If you want a tartan lined stole, you may wish to look at the range of tartans available.  Most are available from Lochcarron Weavers but others may be copyrighted and only available from the designer.   I cannot send out samples of tartan unless it is one that I have already used for someone else and I have scraps left over.  

Please bear in mind that everything is individually made, and cannot compare in price with "off the peg" mass produced items.  To give you an idea, a stole will cost anything from £110 upwards - things like choice of fabric, complexity of design, whether there is hand embroidery or hand-woven fringes and so on, all have a bearing on the price.  If you have a fixed budget, I can design within that - so for example, if somebody has made a donation of £200 to buy a new pulpit fall, I will offer you a design and fabric choice that comes to that amount, but if they have given you a free hand, I could offer other designs that might come in at more or less than that.
