Pulpit Fall

Main fabric is hand-made felt.

This was made for the Methodist Church in Inverness.  The Church interior has many different shades of blue and the felt was made to incorporate as many of them as possible. The fringe is an integral part of the felt.

The red orb with white cross is the logo of the Church.  It was made in velvet, lightly padded so that it stands out from the surface.  The detail in the corners is stitched with metallic threads and free machine stitching.  The image of the chalice (top right) is based on the old chalice that is used in the Church.
